Write a short research proposal sketch (5-8) for a research project inspired by this section of the course. Your proposal should answer the following questions:
The research proposal will need to address the following questions (although not necessarily in the order presented):
- What is the problem or issue? (in the theoretical debate, the world)
- Why is it important? (to researchers, to the world)
- What have others done and why isn't it enough?
- What is your general approach and why is it original and promising?
- What are you going to do explicitly? (This will become the Methods section of your eventual published paper
- What will happen if you get results? (Speculate and possible outcomes of the research and what conclusions you would draw from different possible outcomes. If you can't think of more than one possible result, with different conclusions, then you need to go back to the drawing board on your research design.)
