My hero. This is a great piece about Swiss-mechanism wristwatches and Bill Gibson's addiction to eBay. It closes with a classic Gibson anecdote about standing in a bazaar in Istanbul (Kapali Carsi) "under a Sony sign bristling with alien futurity." Such a comfortable melding of old world and high tech.
