The
Handbook of Computational Economics, vol. 2, is shipping; you can order from the link, but if you have me order for you I can get a 30% discount. This volume is devoted to "Agent-Based Economics", includes chapters from some prominent people in the complex systems community as well as from economists and computer scientists. Mike Wellman and I wrote a chapter ("Automated Markets and Trading Agents").
The STIET program submitted a program renewal proposal to an internal UM competition. Only four proposals from UM can be developed and submitted to NSF this year.
We were selected as one of the four, and we are now preparing the full proposal for NSF. This is for over $3 million to continue the STIET fellowship program. -- (

I've started an experiment: an
ICD blog. I doubt I"m going to become a daily blogger, but my idea is to post links to ICD-related things I find, and occasionally offer thoughts about ICD research questions. Take a lot, comment on entries, send me links or ideas you think might be appropriate for me to add. I"m doing this in part as a notebook to store examples to use in teaching and research, and zygotes of future research papers. -- (
